The build is picking up speed.
A busy week at league headquarters. The Indianapolis Capitols named Grant Gremel Vice President of Finance and Gianna Scappucci Vice President of Sales and Partnerships under Lauren Boczek. Our expansion outreach is now live in four new markets — two in Texas, two in the North — as we build toward eight clubs for 2027. Manny's Minutes is up and running with strong early engagement. A new coflfootball.com launched this week — with brand-new Features written by our team. And we just sat down with an NBC Sports executive on the future of how we present the game.
This is the pace we set. Every week from here forward should feel like this — clubs building rosters, markets stepping up, media reach widening, and the Draft on the horizon.

Capitols add Grant Gremel and Gianna Scappucci to front office
The Indianapolis Capitols announced two front-office additions this week, as President and Managing Partner Lauren Boczek continues to build out the 2027 organization: Grant Gremel as Vice President of Finance and Gianna Scappucci as Vice President of Sales and Partnerships.
Grant Gremel · Vice President of Finance
A four-year starting quarterback at Indiana University, Grant continued his football career at the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, earning his MBA while playing two additional seasons. He built his professional career as a financial advisor, working with families and business owners on retirement planning, investment management, and long-term financial strategy. As Vice President of Finance, Grant will lead financial planning, budgeting, and reporting for the club as it prepares for its 2027 season at Droplight Grand Park in Westfield.
Gianna Scappucci · Vice President of Sales and Partnerships
Gianna Marie Scappucci is a seasoned business development, strategic partnerships, and commercial real estate professional with an extensive network across Indianapolis and Central Indiana. Her background spans commercial real estate, retail and restaurant development, lending, construction, and corporate dealmaking. As Vice President of Sales and Partnerships, Gianna will lead corporate partnerships, sponsorship development, and community engagement for the Capitols as the club builds toward its 2027 season at Droplight Grand Park in Westfield.

Four new markets in active conversation
We are in active conversations with four new ownership groups as we work toward an eight-team 2027 season. Two of those conversations are in Texas — building on the CoFL's existing Southern Division presence — and two are in the North.
Every market has to meet our standards: capitalized ownership, community roots, a real venue plan, and the operational discipline to run a professional club at CoFL level. No verbal-only commitments. No exceptions.

Sharpening how we present the game
This week the League sat down with an executive from NBC Sports to talk about broadcast presentation for professional summer football — what makes a game watchable, how the modern viewer engages with football, and where the CoFL fits in that landscape. These are early conversations, not commitments. But the direction is right.
In parallel, we're going back through last season's game footage — camera angles, graphics, pacing, audio — and pulling lessons for how we present CoFL football on our own channel and beyond. Every game next year should feel more like a professional broadcast than the one before it.
