The People's League officially relocates headquarters to Sport City USA as the CoFL prepares for the next era of professional summer football.

Indianapolis, Indiana — July 2026 — The Continental Football League (CoFL) has officially announced the relocation of its league headquarters to Indianapolis, Indiana, marking a major milestone as the organization prepares for the next chapter of professional summer football in 2027.

Known worldwide as “Sport City USA,” Indianapolis provides the ideal foundation for the CoFL’s continued growth. The city’s deep football culture, world-class facilities, and strong sports business ecosystem make it the perfect home for the league as it expands its vision of bringing professional football closer to communities across America.

A New Chapter Begins in Football’s Capital

Indianapolis has long been recognized as one of the premier football destinations in the United States. The city hosts major football events including the annual NFL Combine and the Big Ten Football Championship at Lucas Oil Stadium. It is also home to the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Fever, Indy Eleven, Pacers Sports & Entertainment, IndyCar, and the NCAA.

Sports Business Journal has ranked Indianapolis among America’s top sports business markets, reinforcing its reputation as a city where sports, business, and community come together.

For the CoFL, this move represents more than a headquarters relocation — it represents a commitment to building a long-term football ecosystem.

“Indianapolis is where football culture lives. This is the foundation we've been waiting for. Let's build.”

— Manny Matsakis, Founder & CEO, Continental Football League

Grand Park Opens a New Opportunity

A key factor behind the move is the next chapter of Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield, Indiana.

After the Indianapolis Colts complete their final training camp at Grand Park in 2026, the facility will enter a new era. Beginning in 2027, the Colts will move training camp operations to the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center in Indianapolis.

Grand Park has become one of the most advanced football campuses in the country, providing a premier environment for player development, competition, and football events.

The CoFL intends to help shape the future of this facility by creating new opportunities for players, fans, and the Central Indiana community.

Building the Future of Summer Football

The Continental Football League remains the only outdoor professional summertime football league in the United States.

With Indianapolis as its new operational headquarters, the CoFL is positioned to grow its league presence while creating new pathways for athletes, coaches, fans, and business partners.

The league has already begun discussions with local trade unions and independent businesses throughout the region. The goal is to create a partnership-driven model that benefits both football and the surrounding community.

Coming to Grand Park and Westfield in 2027

As part of the transition, the CoFL plans to introduce a series of football events throughout the Grand Park and Westfield region.

Upcoming initiatives include:

  • CoFL Fall Showcase — A first look at the next generation of professional summer football talent.

  • Open Player Tryouts — Opportunities for athletes across all positions to compete for roster opportunities.

  • CoFL Combine — A measurable performance evaluation event designed to showcase player abilities.

  • CoFL Draft — A future league event bringing professional player selection to Grand Park.

Additional dates, formats, and registration information will be announced in future editions of The Continental.

The Road to 2027 Continues

The Indianapolis announcement arrives following an exciting Independence Day matchup in the 2026 CoFL season.

The Tall City Black Gold defeated the Texas Syndicate 31–0 at The Pfield in Pflugerville, delivering one of the most dominant performances in franchise history.

After a defensive battle through the first half, the Black Gold exploded in the second half with 31 unanswered points, showcasing the physical style and competitive spirit that defines the CoFL.

The victory positioned Tall City as one of the Southern Division’s most improved franchises heading into the offseason.

The Official 2026 All-CoFL Team Is Coming

The CoFL will soon release the official 2026 All-CoFL Team, selected through extensive film evaluation by league coaches and football professionals.

While fan-created awards and discussions across social media highlight the passion of the CoFL community, the official All-CoFL Team represents the league’s professional evaluation process based on performance, impact, and football expertise.

Fans can look forward to the complete announcement in the next issue of The Continental.
